Mission of REIT-Poland Association

Goal REIT-Poland Association (pl. Stowarzysznie REIT-Polska) of is to contribute to Poland’s economic development by increasing the importance and value of the public securities market and ensuring a greater involvement of Polish capital in commercial real estate. We are fully committed to actions aimed at introducing solutions that support entities investing in real estate through REITs into Polish law and business practice.

Legal and educational support

The primary task of REIT-Poland Association is to initiate and support actions aimed at creating a legal framework for the operation of REITs in Poland. We are also focused on popularizing these solutions among citizens and institutions to raise awareness of the benefits of investing in commercial real estate.

The Polish commercial real estate market, one of the largest and most attractive in Europe, has developed over the years with minimal participation from Polish investors. Introducing REITs to the Polish market is an opportunity to change this trend, bringing benefits to both Polish citizens and the country’s economy.

Challenges and Opportunities

Why REITs in Poland?

Currently, Poland does not have a legal framework to support the functioning of REITs. This absence limits the ability of local investors to participate in the growth and profits of the commercial real estate sector. We stand out negatively in this respect compared to the countries of the European Economic Area, including those in our region. By supporting the development of REITs, we aim to democratize access to real estate investments, enhance market transparency, and foster a culture of civic shareholding.
